John Babitt with Ernst & Young and Scott Fraser joined me at the recent AdvaMed The MedTech Conference to discuss the steady trends of the changing centers of care in addition to care delivery being supported by the providers as well as financed by the private equity sector.

As data becomes a requirement in the administration of healthcare and evidence based outcomes provide both safety and outcomes data, providers, patients, and payers will continue to push alternative sites of care be it ASC’s or even the home in specific cases that will likely index towards diagnostics and monitoring of chronic diseases.

This shift in sites of care will unlock new business pathways in data analytics, state of the art ASC’s, require new sales and service models to be adopted by OEM’s, and technologies of care that will include more activities in pre, intra, and post op with the patient / customer.
